
| REGENTS' EXAM INFORMATION An Overview The Regents' Test measures college-level writing and reading skills. The Essay test presents four topics and allows a choice of one on which to write an essay. The Reading test contains nine reading passages, each followed by six multiple-choice items. One hour is allowed for each of the Essay and Reading tests. Time designated for the test session includes check-in and seating, oral and printed directions, and distribution and collection of test materials, as well as testing time. There is no charge for the Regents' Test. The test is required of all undergraduates who have earned 30 semester hours. Register for the Regents' Test through your S.H.I.P. account.
